Thanks Elitany. The box is neat. Takes only a few minutes to make. I used some really thin white wrapping paper but it would work great (better, actually) with tracing paper, wax paper, cut out shower curtain. Pretty much any material that is white and translucent. The idea is to diffuse the light though the material. Your subject will see the light as a huge soft light source and give you nice even shadows. It's also cheap to. A box, some paper, tape and a razor knife to cut it. You can use any color poster board for the background as well. Any color background ya want for only .49 cents!
no problem! gave me a great chance to play with my Macro box.
Thanks. The lighting stuff is a nice change of pace and a good challenge!
incredible.. though.. for the lighting, im still figuring out how to re-attempt some of my conceptual photos into lighting conditions :hmm: i dont know lol

but you're welcome

all I can recommend is a book called "light, science & magic (3rd ed)" - [link]=pd_bbs_sr_1/002-9392511-2346429?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1189280250&sr=1-1

It's not a how to book. It's a book that teaches you how to understand light.

I also recommend checking out lighting 101 on strobist.com. Neat stuff!
awesome thank you so much :)
